Okay, I thought the MS Outlook distribution groups would work but it doesn't.  It seems like if I set User Role 1 to group name CORP\DG Test Users, the all the names in this group would automatically be a part of that user role so I'm not really sure how the Groups options works.  I tried useing the Contact Selector but everytime ...

Instead of the Contact Selector, I was able to use MS Outlook distribution groups to as the user roles as a workaround.

To sum up... The Created by query was retreiving data from the library on submit.  The problem was, the library default view was set to show items where Type = mdebit, and Created by = [Me].  The default view in the library was only supposed to show users those items submitted by themselves and were mdebit requests.  Phone_Address ...

Okay, doesn't look like I can query a view but... everything works without error if I change the default view to My Documents.

I've been all over this form and i've confirmed it is not the character count in the field.  For some reason, the Created by query is just not stable.  I don't know if the form is corrupt or what but now when the type = mdebit, the Created by query is not working. 

I have a form with fields that I would like to validate based on a SharePoint User Group.  I'd like to use the SP groups instead of roles since the SP groups are already existing and working for other SP libraries.  Also, this would cut down on modifying the form template in cases where users change SP groups.  Is there a way to ...

Created by is there, but it only queries on submit.  So although the function is in the formula, it shows up blank because the query has to happen after the form is submitted to the library

I came up with a work around to populate the hidden field before the submit but I would still like to add on the @Created by field which is queried on submit.  Is there a way I can attach @Created by to the end of the formula?
