• filter by hidden field on secondary data source

Hi, I have a sharepoint list which uses a custom item-based content type. The content type has a text column which is hidden. This is because its value is set in code, and it acts as a foreign key to a infopath form library. Now I have an infopath task form in a workflow. I need to pull in the list items ...

Hi Patrick, Can I still use the owssvr.dll FilterField1, FilterValue1 technique to filter data sources if they are UDC files? Craig

  • how are sharepoint list references stored?

Hi, When I add a data connection to a sharepoint list, how is that list reference stored? Is it stored as the Url or is there a guid reference somewhere? I need to know if the form will work if it is moved to another environment where the path exists, but the list would have a different internal guid. Thanks, Craig

  • Re: how can I override (?) the changed event

It's not as elegant as removing events, but I would add a 3rd element to store the name of the trigger element and test for that when each event fires. private void TextBox1_Changed(object sender, XmlEventArgs e) { if (ReadElement("EventFiredByElement") != "TextBox2") { ...

  • hide/disable button if validation errors?

Hi, I have a form with a button. The button has rules that submit to the environment and close the form. If the form has validation errors and the user clicks the button, a rather incomprehensible message is shown such as: ===================== Some rules were not applied. Click Continue to resume filling out the ...

Hi, I have the same problem, though I am just trying to get it to work for the first time. Did you ever get to the bottom of it? Craig

  • switching view on form load

Hi, I am trying to use this.ViewInfos.SwitchView() to change the view in the EventManager.FormEvents.Loading event handler to something other than the default view in some circumstances. When the view switches, I get the following error: "The view my view name is not ready". I can then continue, but it shows me the default ...

  • tab order / default control

Hi, Focus on my form always seems to default to the first non read-only contol when loaded. This happens to be a dropdown, so when the form loads, and the user tries to scroll, unless they click somwhere else on the form before doing so, they accidentally change the selected item in that drop down. How can I set the default item to be ...

  • set readonly when finished

Hi, My form has an attached workflow. When the workflow finishes, the form and list item should be made read-only to prevent any further updates. How can this be acheived? I can see no way with SPD workflows, OOB IM policies or infopath code! Even the MainDatasource.ReadOnly field is read-only!! Is this ...
