I actually got it to work until I got the error "Only positive integer allowed." I then changed the value to "ID" which worked, but not when I want to reference the that drop down from a text field. So let's say I have a drop down of a,b,c,d and if I select "d" I want that value to display in my text box below ...

I have a SharePoint 2010 list that has a field with Rich text. How can I change it without deleting the field and re-adding it? If I delete it I will lose all the data currently in there.

Yep, you are right. It didn't happen the first time checked, but it is working now. Maybe the delay had something to do with moving the whole list from one site collection to another then enabling it to work with InfoPath. Thanks for the reply.

I know we can create a new form on a list with InfoPath 2010, but can we easily use InfoPath to open the edit view of an item?

The form is browser enable. So you think that is why I can not do this?

I did see that one, but unfortunately it wasn't what I was looking for. It was pretty interesting though. Think of a square from photo shop that has a drop shadow and the text is within the square. That video you are referencing opened up a few nice idea's. I love seeing that kind of creativity.

Is there a way in the form to produce a drop shadow effect so that it looks like a floating page?

I know I am a little late to reply to this, but I am hoping someone can give a better answer. My work around for this was to make that field a single line field, then create my data connection, then switch it back to multi line. You just can't go back to edit your data connection or you will have to go through those steps again. I was ...
