I am not clear if downloading Infopath filler is the same thing as Infopath itself (i.e, what I downloaded)?. I suppose I can provide a link on our sharepoint site to ... Posted to General (Forum) by lou d on 08-16-2021 Re: Configuring Sharepoint for Infopath Thank you Hilary. It turns out that our organization will not allow Infopath to run on Sharepoint, so unfortunately I can't use Sharepoint as a solution to host this. I can do more research, but are there additional platforms that Infopath services can run on to allow people to fill out the form and have the ability to connect to sql server ... Posted to General (Forum) by lou d on 08-16-2021 Configuring Sharepoint for Infopath Hello, I have a form that I execute from my PC and would like to now run it on Sharepoint, as my understanding is that Sharepoint is where most organizations run it for people in the organization to use the form. The form also has connections to a sql server database to retrieve data, not to load data. Our sharepoint site is currently not ... Posted to General (Forum) by lou d on 08-11-2021 Button to validate required fields have a value Hello, I have a simple form with a few required fields. I want to have a button at the end which the user clicks on that will ensure the required fields have values entered in. Thanks again!..Lou Posted to General (Forum) by lou d on 08-03-2021 Re: text box only shows first row of result set from sql query Thank you. I need to do the same for a few other fields, but I get the attached error message. I did the following steps, and get the error message at step 5: 1. Added the layout table; 2. Copied the repeating table from the field you helped me with and pasted it into the layout table; 3. right click the value inside the repeating table you ... Posted to General (Forum) by lou d on 08-03-2021 Re: text box only shows first row of result set from sql query Thank you Hilary!. I have to repeat these steps for a few more fields that can have multiple values, so I want to make sure I understand what you did and try from scratch rather than copy and paste. I understand about the conditional formatting, but you indicate you put the table inside a layout table cell. These are the steps I can't ... Posted to General (Forum) by lou d on 08-03-2021 Re: text box only shows first row of result set from sql query Attached is the .xsn file. The repeating table is for the field 'Metric Type' (about two thirds of the way down the form), which is bound to a sql server data source field called 'Metric Type Name'. I will try out your suggestion as well. Thanks! Lou Posted to General (Forum) by lou d on 08-03-2021 Re: text box only shows first row of result set from sql query Thanks. I was able to get it to work (see the screenshot I attached). However, the repeating table causes the form to now have a large gap between the last row of the repeating table and the next field below it. It's not that big of a gap, but I would like to have the next field (i.e, Reporting Frequency) to show up close to the repeating ...
