• Button on InfoPath form not showing in browser view

I have never had this happen before. I created a new, simple, custom list with 2 columns. I then went Customize in Infopath. I customized the form, adding several buttons, in newly inserted Rows in the table. I successfully published the form. But when I view the form in the browser, although I can see blank space representing the newly ...

  • Text refuses to align at top of cell

I have a recurring problem with my Infopath forms. Whenever I have a ROW, which is split into a smaller left-hand portion (for a "label" type purpose), and a larger right-hand portion (for a control-type of purpose), IF the control is very "tall" at all, then the left-hand cell (text) aligns at the bottom, when viewed in the ...

  • Re: Sharepoint View Filter - boolean problems

"And the minute you take my parentheses away, I'm completely lost" - Exactly! writing code is so much easier. maybe some day my company will approve us having sharepoint designer. (right now only the admins have it, and any group has to go to the sharepoint admins for $$-project and ask for a workflow or anything like that). ...

  • Re: Sharepoint View Filter - boolean problems

That worked! Thank you. Not surprisingly, this situation where it seems everyone else can grasp the algebraic order of boolean logic and I cannot (especially when it gets more complex), makes me feel like I am back in Algebra class, where similar things happened. LOL

  • Sharepoint View Filter - boolean problems

Hi, I have a sharepoint view that needs to be filtered by 3 criteria. I admit being very easily confused by order of boolean operators, although I studied a stack overflow post that purported to make all things clear, I failed to grasp it. I have 3 columns: ShowInPRLView, PRL, and PRLBackup. Stating this goal in easy parentheticals, I need to ...

  • Sort list by column linked to EDIT not working

Hi, I have a Sharepoint list with its AllItems view with its column ProjectName being the first in the column order of the view (Position from Left=1). The selection I made is "ProjectName (linked to item with edit menu)". Sure enough, it shows up as a link, but when you click it, it brings up my Infopath form as READ ONLY. Why? I ...

  • Re: Using a lookup column kind of like Vlookup

Okay I think I understand what mistake there was in my understanding of Lookup columns. I was thinking that a Lookup column (let's call it Column3 from MainList) could "lookup" the value of ANOTHER column from MainList (let's say Column1), look it up in AnotherList, and return AnotherList AnotherColumn. But what lookup lists ...

  • Re: Sharepoint calculated column

Thanks for replying. As I pondered this more and more, I began thinking about my Average column. Given the fact that the true "average"s included a heck of a lot more potential precision than 1 decimal point, I realized what was happening------sharepoint was making me think it was storing just one decimal point in my Numbers column ...
