  • Re: HTML in email

OY, it's soooo silly. To get carriage returns (or new lines) in JScript use ''\r\n'' As in: objEmailAdapter.Intro = ''Some special text.\r\n This is the next line''

  • Re: HTML in email

Man this one has been bothering me. Why in the world can't you put HTML in the body (Intro) programatically? (Author's Note: I had to put ''[&]'' where I mean ''&'' or else this forum will not render the message properly) Just for fun I've built a button with an OnClick event that triggers and email from a Data Connection: function ...

  • Re: Selecting Value of Drop Down

Oof. OK, I've managed to capture the data, but now I can't set the value of my dropdown. Here is how I got the data: var objEmployee = XDocument.GetDOM(''viw_EmployeeSummary''); objEmployee.setProperty(''SelectionNamespaces'','xmlns:dfs=''http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003/dataFormSolution'' ' + ' ...

  • Re: Selecting Value of Drop Down

Well, it turns out just getting the value is a bit tricky in the onClick event. I've tried something like this: var facID = XDocument.GetDOM(''FacilityCoordinators'').SelectSingleNode(''dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/d:Facility/FacilityID''); But keep getting jscript errors (''Object does not support this property or method''). ...

  • Re: Selecting Value of Drop Down

Right. So, what is the syntax to set the value of this. Here is the code I have so far: function CTRL270_5::OnClick(eventObj) { var thisUserName = XDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode(''/my:myFields/my:InitiatorInformation/my:UserName'').text; var thisUserDomain = ...

  • Re: Selecting Value of Drop Down

Hmmm. Neither of these things seem to have helped. My drop-down is bound to a Secondary Data Source, so all of the nodes have a little lock icon on them and the default value section is grayed out. I guess I'm not following your second point. I have a SQL connection to an Employee table. I am using the OnClick event on my button to build a ...

  • Re: populate InfoPath filename to Outlook subject line

Whoops..you're right. However, the concat logic would work well if you have a hyperlink on the page. I like to build these forms that rely as little as possible on the toolbars of InfoPath. :)

  • Re: populate InfoPath filename to Outlook subject line

You sure can. The trick is to change the Data Source of the hyperlink control to something like this: concat(''mailto:'',/@my:email, ''?subject='', /my:fileName) You will have to play with the formatting, but I've done this and it works well.

  • Selecting Value of Drop Down

I've seen several iterations of this issue here, but can't seem to get any satisfaction in my form :). I am trying to set the value of a drop down. I can get it to work...sort of. At the top of my form, I have a NetworkID section that allows users to plug in their NetworkID. When they click a button, I use jscript in the OnClick event to ...
