Im not sure if this is a bug, or something that I dont understand why its happening. I have a section with a text box, and I have created a DISPLAY Conditional Formating where I tell it if a certain value is 3, hide this control. Now when I check this formating, suddenly I have a large list of other formating rules which I didnt place there. ... I have an idea how to do this, but im seriously lacking vbscript skills to do this bit (remove rows from drop down list). Can someone please let me know what the code is to do this. Cheers, Posted to General (Forum) by Carlos on 03-06-2006 Populating drop down box in code I need to populate a drop down list with values I need, depending on a variable value. For example, if the variable is x, the drop down will only show 1 and 2. If the variable is y, the drop down will show 2 and 3. How to you do call the drop down in vbscript (or jscript)? Posted to General (Forum) by Carlos on 03-05-2006 Re: Copy a fields data to another field OK, so I figured it out using no code. What I did was to select FieldA, got to its text properties, Rule and Set Condition "FieldB is blank" with the Action "Set a fields value: @FieldB = @FieldA" So it only populates it once to satisfy the FieldB is blank. Posted to General (Forum) by Carlos on 02-27-2006 Re: preceding-sibling question Figured it out, thought ill post it in case theres more questions about it. Under the field where you want the number to autoincrement, go to its properties, click the Value button and type count(preceding-sibling::*/@Field) + 1 (where @Field is your increment field). One of the fields is Phase_Number, in which I wish to automatically populate with number (eg 1, 2, 3 etc), BUT, also have the ability to renumber itself if one of the repeating rows is deleted. From what I have read, the preceding-sibling code is the way to go, but I cant get it to work. Can ... Posted to General (Forum) by Carlos on 02-22-2006 Re: Copy a fields data to another field The trick here is to copy the contents from one firld to the other only is the field is NULL. Once the field is populated, then it will no longer copy it over. I like to do this in code, but my VBScript isnt very good. EG: Dim FieldB Dim FieldA Set FieldB = XDocument.......(form field) Set FieldA = XDocument.... (form field) If FieldB = ... Posted to General (Forum) by Carlos on 02-22-2006 Copy a fields data to another field I want to know if its possible to copy the contents of 'Field A' into 'field B' after the submit button (to an SQL DB). So essentially, when the Submit button is pressed, the data that was typed into 'Field A' wiill also copy into 'Field B' ONLY is 'Field B' is NULL. If its not NULL, then it shouldnt copy over the new details. Any way of dong ...
