• Re: Dynamic digital signature sections. Possible?

Hi Yes, select form options and go into Digital Signatures, click allow signatures for the whole or part of the form (your preference) and select countersign. You submit button will then post the form off to the next authoriser on the list who signs the form and submits it onto the next who signs the form and so on and so forth. All works ...

  • Re: Digital signatures

Hi My first question is that how is your text box your signature field? Is it just someone types their name in? Presuming it is, your rule runs from the signature6 box, but the only way it would noy work is if it has a default value it will not trigger the rule when the field is populated for real. If it does have a default ...

  • Re: repeating tables and radio buttons

Hi If I am reading you correctly it seems like your secondary data source needs a subsidiary table for the radio buttons, that way the data will be recorded. I hope this helps

  • Re: Cascading DDListboxes

Foobar, Hi Could you not just write a web service as a straight link to your datasource, that would do the job perfectly well. The DBXL tool is great and can be used for so much more. Cheers

  • Re: "The form Has been closed" & Clear after submit

Hi You would have to use a rules and custom code close using code, but that way it could be customised to you hearts content. Use the code to display a message and close the form, job done. I hope this helps Cheers

  • Re: Getting user name

OK Getting somewhere. The web service is in C# (this runs on the web server and gets called by InfoPath as a secondary datasource), the code on the form is in VB (this does the calling), but should be very easy to convert to script.js. As Clay says it is extremely user friendly as it is silent check on the load up of the ...

  • Re: Help with "shopping cart" made with repeating tables

Hi One thing you can try is the current() bit of code if you are using InfoPath 2003. This behaviour does not seem to occur in InfoPath 2007 due to a redesign of the Object Model. To add it in 2003, go into the rule that sets the MFG field where is says something like: where PN (in database) is equal to PN (on form). In the ...

  • Re: Getting user name

Hi First off I will point out some of the bad points of Full Trust: it has to be installed locally, so each update has to be installed and updated by the individual; the install each time has to be managed as a java app or a .MSI with 4 to 5 steps in each. If the form was on the intranet it would mean an install each time. I ...

  • Re: Error Handling

Hi Error catching not my speciality but if I understand you correctly the forms are erroring out before they even boot or get caught in your logic. If this is the case it has to be something fairly funadmental like a data source error, permissions error, or design error. If you are using Infopath 2007 i presume it the design checker ...

  • Re: Populate repeating table with data from web service

Hi Not done this with a web service before but trying the same thing with a database and found the following to work. What I found to work was if you used an event to drive the query like a button push or after a field gets filled in, then execute the query to return the data in the repeating table. I hope this helps
