Did more googling once I had a chance to wrap my head around what was failing (nil=true was the cause). I found this link that explains the issue: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/bb509311(v=office.12).aspx Essentially you have to delete the nil attribute before you set the ... Posted to Code (Forum) by RobSil1976 on 04-11-2013 XPath Issue - MoveToChild() Doesn't Seem To Work Hi there, I have a XPathNavigator object that is set at 1 node of a repeating group in my main data source. In actuality it is in an OnChanged event in the code behind for that note. I type text in 1 field, when OnChanged fires, it adjusts the text, queries DB then sets another 2 fields. I use the following code to ... Posted to Code (Forum) by RobSil1976 on 04-10-2013 Query Logic Question - Change entered data, then query with that as a parameter Hi there, I have users entering a "code" into a field. If the code is of the format: ###.#### (3 numbers, period, 4 numbers), then do nothing. If it is 4 numbers, add "09" to end then execute my query. If it is 6 numbers, immediately execute my query. All other values entered into the field should be invalid ... Posted to Data Connections (Forum) by RobSil1976 on 04-10-2013 Re: Fancy formatting of row in repeating item table? I even managed to get the dollar amount displaying properly... my final equation is as-below... concat(my:Description, " @ (", my:Quantity, " x $", round(my:UnitPrice * 100) / 100.00, " each)") Please note that the divide symbol "/" has a space before after (considers it to be xpath if you ... What I think I will do for version 1 of my form is just have users open form to make changes, would be interesting in seeing direct integration to form/DBXL from Sharepoint field changes at some point, but I want to keep it simple for v1. :) I'll keep your offer in mind though. Thanks Hilary! :) Is there a limit to how many variables you can pass into that method? R. Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by RobSil1976 on 04-07-2013 High Level Question - Workflow in Sharepoint + Form Values changing (with DBXL shredding to DB) Just trying to wrap my head around the bigger picture with respect to Sharepoint Integration, Workflow and DBXL. I have a form that will have User 1 enter some data, then submit the form for approval, then processing. So the flow is (in theory): 1. User 1 - Fills out Infopath Form, Presses Submit. 2. Infopath submits to DBXL, then DBXL ... Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by RobSil1976 on 04-07-2013 Fancy formatting of row in repeating item table? Hi there, I have a repeating table that has Quantity, Description, Unit Price. I am trying to rearrange the fields in another view so that I can "pretty format" the text. For example... "New Tires(4)@$4.33" (<descr>(<qty>)@<price>). Is there an easy way to do this with string addition in a ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by RobSil1976 on 04-06-2013 key stroke detection in TextField? Hi there, Is it possible programatically to detect key strokes in a text field? I want to add a "Comments" box to a form and have a counter underneath it that indicates how many characters left in the "max limit" of the field? e.g.... Comments: [............. text box ... Posted to Code (Forum) by RobSil1976 on 04-06-2013 Re: Unable to integrate form into Sharepoint from DBXL Also I was able to successfully publish my form to a Sharepoint list via Infopath publish option (e.g. circumventing DBXL). After doing this I go into DBXL and I am able to setup the Sharepoint integration (by entering the URL into the Sharepoint tab in DBXL for my Form, do not check any of the option checkboxes for the mapping). ...
