• Re: How to copy "lookup" column value to "single line of text" column in same list with Workflow?

Hi Chintan. It's possible, but it is a little complicated (probably not if you have QRules! lol). Add an extra column to your list -- no need to display it in your form. Make it an Integer datatype with a default value of 0, and add a rule to this field to set Project Name2 to Project Name. This rule will go off in each line when the value of ...

  • Re: Mail merge?

Hi Brian, What is your repeating section bound to? It should be bound to the repeating group in your datasource that contains your staff and client fields. Ex: sharePointRepeatingSection clientName staffName I don't do much with ShP, but if it is a secondary datasource, this repeating group would probably be ...

  • Re: Mail merge?

Hi Brian! If you have a table with an employee and a customer on each row (I think you do), then: Create a print view with a repeating section based off your table. Customize the contents off the repeating section so that it looks like a timesheet (with expression boxes / calculated values for customers / clients). Put a page break (Insert ...

  • Re: How to apply trim() function for values in drop down?

Hi Chintan, yes, you can use the function substring-after(@field, "#;"). It will return contents of the string after the first occurence of "#;".

  • Re: InfoPath 2010 questions? Ask here.

Hi jaybranch! You can use the concat() function -- like concat(@managerName, "@mycompany.com") as the default value for your extra field. It is also possible to do some extra conversions to the name, such as converting it to lowercase, replacing characters, etc., as you probably know. Hope this helps!

  • Re: Reset all field including Query fields

What is the Security Level of your form template (Tools > Form Options > Security and Trust.) If it is domain, you may want to change it to Full Trust (make sure to sign it with a trusted certificate!).

Hi golenskd, open up the dialog boxes where you set Default Value and make sure that the "Update value when result of formula is recalculated" box is unchecked. Hope this helps! Qwerty

  • Re: Hiding Section Until Another Section's CheckBoxes Used

Hi cbrown, alternatively, you could set a field's default value as the concatenation of the values of all the checkboxes, and hide the section if the field contains true.

  • Re: Reset all field including Query fields

Hi Gaurav, I think you could accomplish the same effect if you used a rule to open a blank form and then close the other one. Add a rule that says "Open form at [location of form]" and then add another one that closes the old form -- you will probably want to close without saving. Hope this helps, Qwerty

  • Re: translate function to remove spaces for url

Hi fredruel, This is possible to accomplish with the xPath functions concat, substring-before, and substring-after. Say your filename is in @file. Then your rule (set on @file) is: If @file contains ' ' Then Set a field's value: @file = concat(substring-before(@file, ' '), '%20', substring-after(@file, ' ...
