• Re: Multiple rules at the same time

Hi. Sorry about the late answer - I am in Denmark (Central European Time) so my weekend had begun when you answered :-) Anyway, both are set to "Only when necessary for correct rendering of the form (recommended)". I suppose I can play around with the values and see if anything changes. I'll keep you posted.

  • Multiple rules at the same time

Hi all I have an InfoPath 2007 form that is web enabled and running under SharePoint 2007 using Forms Services. The form has a textbox on it with a rule that updates the value of the field to be "translate(.; "abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz"; "ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ")" - in other words, I convert the string ...

  • Re: Data Validation on multiple fields

Hi, and thanks for your suggestions. I have chosen to just have the same validation condition on both fields for now.

  • Re: Data Validation on multiple fields

Hi, and thanks for the link. I am comfortable writing code and use it a lot in our current forms. However, for this form, right now I have just set the validation condition on both fields and that seems fine for now. Thanks.

Right. Rookie mistake... should've told you that I use InfoPath 2007. Anyways, no it won't take long. It just bugs me that now if the rule changes I need to remember to change it in two places. And of course, should a third or fourth field come into play, things get nasty :) Thanks for the quick reply. -- eliasen, BizTalk MVP - NOT ...

  • Data Validation on multiple fields

Hi all I have two textboxes bound to a data source field each. I need data validation on the form that states that either both values must be blank or both must be not-blank. So I cannot have that one field is blank while the other is not blank. Do I really have to specify the exact same data validation rule on both ...
Yeah, so, rules are fired first.
Hi Patrick Yesterday I got a reply from MS at http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepointinfopath/thread/f368b51c-bbc0-4529-af59-c9f63dc6a312 - according to him, rules are not fired first for web enabled forms. Who is right? Thanks!

  • Re: Programatically close web enabled form after manual submit

Hi I gather that xdExtension does not work from web enabled forms. I see others complaining about it (http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/p/10426/37397.aspx#37397) but haven't found a solution. Anwyay, this means that I get an error when uploading the form to forms server - translated from Danish, it sounds like this: "The ...
