• Re: Get Current FileName

Or keep it simple by setting a 'filename' variable on form open to something like this :- concat(FirstName, "-", today(), "-", substring(now(), 12, 2), substring(now(), 15, 2)) Will result in something like :- Jason-2010-10-25-1430

  • Re: Saving long date format

Thanks Jimmy - I guess I made a mistake there of explaining it properly. I meant for it to represent as 5 October 2010. I just found this article that appears to do what I need - if this is the best solution? http://www.bizsupportonline.net/infopath2007/how-to-extract-month-name-from-date-picker-infopath.htm Jason.

  • Re: GetUserProfileByName issue

This is fairly simple and will always be something you need to do when a secondary person will open the form. • Saving long date format

Hi, I know the today() and now() functions write out the date/time fields in this format - YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ss I've used the substring function of those to just give me the YYYY-MM-DD but I'd like this to be saved in long format in the variable, in the same way the display can be changed to DD Month Year - is this possible ...

  • Re: Image Layers

Thanks Hilary - you were right (and I suspected as much too!) that InfoPath wasn't going to be the best solution for this. I've worked around it now by creating the certificate (word 2007 document) using workflows to populate another list/library with the information captured in the form. The word document was created by changing ...

  • Re: Image Layers

Have found the image background option for the page setup - but this doesn't let me customise the image further.

  • Image Layers

Hi, Very much a newbie question that might be very easy to answer. I've got an image that is a certificate & covers the whole page. I need to add tables of information to it, but I dont think I can 'layer' the view in any way so that the image is on the background and I can add the additional fields into the ...
