Essentially your solution and mine both deal with the duplicated columns and editing the xsf file. In the first case you map to columns already in existence--again through the xsf. In my case I create new site columns and map these. I agree SharePoint 2007 Manager is a great tool in either case.

I have been able to get the debugger to work in Form Preview by Choosing "F5-Start Debugging in VSTA Project". Once I publish the form-I have no idea of how to get information besides writing debug statements to a form library I call event log. Is there anyway to debug managed code running in browser-enabled mode?
