• Re: Change of View based upon combo box selection

Hi CScottM and a hearty welcome! Create one big section in your form underneath the optional combo box. In this big section, add two sections - one will contain the special stuff for option 1 and the other for option 2. Double click on the section and choose the Display tab. Click Conditional Formatting. Add a condition that says Combo Box field ...

  • Re: how to copy secondary data into multiple repeating tables in main ds?

Hey xRipped and welcome! We created qRules to help with these kind of issues. It's qRules and supports copying from external tables to internal ones *without code*. Simpler, less cost to you. Voila! To fix your code will require someone debugging it with the form. It'll take time. Maybe you can figure it out, but if you can't you ...

  • Re: Dynamically changing URL of Data Connection

Hi MCorban and welcome, Two options: Write some code that reads the field with the URL and creates the data connection - this is like $50-75 worth of consulting (~20-30 minutes for us). You might be able to spend an hour or two doing it yourself. Go to Qdabra.com->Products->Support, if you want us to do it and then send us your ...

  • Re: How to setup incremental file name calculation

Hi Lenova27, This has to be one of the top 20 requests in this forum. I just answered a post yesterday regarding it. Bottom line is that you can't do it because you can't ensure that another person isn't submitting at the same time. You could do a two submit solution. Submit once, but don't close the form. Then, use a SharePoint ...

  • Re: Format date for Dropdown list box

Hi Connie, You could make it a date type only instead of a date-time type, but that will only get you 2009-04-16. To format the display value, you'll probably have to use some code, that formats it. There might be a function that does this since the datepicker can format it like that.

  • Re: Browser enabled? And is there is sample for multiple files

Hi VivaSuzi and thanks for the qRules questions! We haven't tested this with the browser-enabled forms. One of the challenges with browser-enabling is that forms with code (and qRules is a code module that you inject in your form) require admin deploy. It's slightly more complicated, but not hard. Microsoft is making this simpler in the ...

  • Re: Your product vers. built in function in Infopath

Hi Doug, I'm guessing you are asking about the ES XTP that Mel posted: http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/mel_balsamo/archive/2009/03/03/electronic-signature-template-part.aspx. Here's an excerpt of the text from that blog: Why not digital signatures? What limitations do electronic signatures have? Security warning: An electronic ...

  • Re: Print Preview not true of what is in view

Hi Carole2759 and welcome, I have to be honest with you - InfoPath has very poor printing support. It's not like Word. It's not guaranteed to be WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get). My only suggestion would be to try printing to PDF and see if that's any different. There's this Cute PDF printer option or you can install the ...

  • Re: Multi-line sharepoint data in infopath: no line break!

Hi Andreas and welcome! It's possible that ShP is not using the same line break characters that InfoPath is using - to be honest, I don't exactly remember. But, before we give up, please try to look at the properties on your text box. Is it bound to an xhtml (rich text) field in your data source? Does it have multi-line and ther edit ...

  • Re: Publishing a repeating table data to Sharepoint List

Hi Raghu and welcome, Since S.Y.M. Wong-A-Ton wrote the post, maybe you should try asking her. We advise people not to use code and have tools for saving forms to SQL and then recommend people use data views on top of SQL to show the data. If you have SQL, you could do this. It would be a lot simpler and easier to maintain, but then it's not ...
