Hello all:
I am creating a table and inserting pull-down menu controls, and since I have 30 rows to place this control into, I was looking for a way to copy the control type populated with the selection items and paste it, rather than having to drag and create it every time- HHowever, ehen you cust and paste, it will store the duplicate data ...

The test form I created is a sharepoint list form. I created a test SP list with a people picker field. Opened it in InfoPath designer, added and customized three views with different colors. Published the form.
When I add a new item to the list, the form that comes up doesn't have the bg color for people picker.
But when I click on an ...

Well - what does this mean:When a new item is submitted the form's people picker loses its bg colorIs this a SharePoint List form?
I think SharePoint Lists can have multiple forms associated with them - any chance the form for "view" has the change and "edit" does not? I've not run into an instance where a form ...

The solution that worked best for this was making the Resume variable a 'text' Data Type. The text isn't completely formatted correctly when displayed but it's broked up enough to be read. Below is an example of how the text isn't formatted the same way it was pasted and submitted.

Thanks for the quick reply Hilary! I created a simple form with few views and they work as expected-Partly.. Surely I must be missing something somewhere.
When a new item is submitted the form's people picker loses its bg color. When I view the item, the color change is seen. Is there a way to have the color remain in edit mode as well?
This ...

That document can be opened and resubmitted (to overwrite) or a new one can be submitted.
I don't really ...

I have several rows in a table on my form. A header section of the form displays an employees information. I want to insert each row into a database one row at a time along with identifying information (about an employee). This means resubmitting the one-time employee information along with each row multiple times. The ...

So - that's unexpected behavior. If you create a simple test form, can you change the color on the control? That is - I'm trying to understand if it is the copying / pasting that caused it to be a fussbudget, or if it is something else. If you feel adventurous - you can save a source files and go take a look at the view xsl to see if you ...

I had a similar issue today, but I'm not using SP designer. I'm using only SP and Infopath to customise my list. From my experience, you will need to:
- go to LIST SETTINGS in sharepoint and tick "YES" for the option "Allow multiple selections"
- save the list
- open it in infopath - you'll get an alert the list ...

I have two questions about data load between InfoPath and SharePoint.
Firstly, how much data is sent 'between' InfoPath and SharePoint on a submit, is every field submitted, or only those which have changed? If I had a form with 50 fields and the form was submitted when any of these fields changed, would this likely have an impact on ...
