Last » Re: Problems with Decimal Mark (Region Issues) Infopath 2007 Hi Codere, What locale is your SharePoint server running under? My guess is that it's different. Anyway, you may be able to force the formatting by right clicking on the field and selecting Format and the correct locale. Best of luck! Posted to General (Forum) by Patrick Halstead on 04-07-2013 Re: key stroke detection in TextField? Hi Rob, No, InfoPath doesn't support this. For small field validation (16 characters or less), you could break them up into 1 character fields with each one next to another so it looks like a composite field. Then, you can right click each field and on the Display tab check the "Limit text box to: 1 character" box and ... I'm assuming that you have turned on property demotion for your fields so that you can edit them in SharePoint. This feature is turned off by default and it is not a best practice because SharePoint doesn't ... Yes, but you can just add concats if you need more - e.g. concat(concat(field1, field2, field3, field4), field5, field6, ...) Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Patrick Halstead on 04-07-2013 Re: Limit displayed characters to 8 I'd concat the first initial, middle initial and last name, then take a substring of that. Like this: substring(concat(substring(FirstName, 1, 1), substring(MiddleInitial, 1, 2), LastName), 1, 8) So, that gives you the 8 char name you need and you can add your translate around that, then concat in the domain and \ Posted to InfoPath 2010 (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 04-07-2013 Re: Query Secondary datasource I'd use calculated values (expression boxes) - one with the value of each field - and hide the one you don't need based on conditional formatting using your checkbox. Does that make sense? Posted to InfoPath 2010 (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 04-07-2013 Re: Fancy formatting of row in repeating item table? Thanks Hilary! :) Is there a limit to how many variables you can pass into that method? R. I had tried the checkbox for only returning unique values, but that did not fix the problem as the form first had to look at all the Access table's records and then remove duplicates. A colleague of mine managed to figure out what the problem was and a solution for it. The Access Table ... That is, does it need to be refreshed every time the second form is opened? Or only when a new form is created? Posted to InfoPath (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 04-07-2013 Re: Fancy formatting of row in repeating item table? You shouldn't have to nest your concat: concat(desc, "(", qty, ")@", price) I guess the one issue you'll run into is formatting price - it is likely a decimal data type. As such, you may just want to use one expression box (calculated value) for everything up through "@" and another expression box for the ...
