Thanks for the response! What I think I will do for version 1 of my form is just have users open form to make changes, would be interesting in seeing direct integration to form/DBXL from Sharepoint field changes at some point, but I want to keep it simple for v1. :) I'll keep your offer in mind though.

You just need to have a (hidden) field where you track the "currentStep".
So, when currentStep=0, you hide some sections and show others.
The rules increase currentStep to 1.
Which then allows you to hide some sections and show another.
And so on.
Does this make sense?

There's no negative impact on SharePoint, and changing the DBXL identity has the advantage of allowing you to create the SharePoint mapping.

Is DeleteRange what you really want here? I mean, don't you just want to delete some rows where the fields inside are blank? I would loop through the nodes, add the blanks to an array, then use DeleteSelf to delete the items in the array.
