Sure we do this all the time. It's a best practice to link forms together. Just make sure your form doesn't contain "everything including the kitchen sink". Separating data sources between forms based on business processes is key to multi-form solutions.

Sure, it's possible, but will require some programming. You can probably create a SharePoint event handler that does it. You may also be able to create a custom workflow that does it, but both will require programming. Let us know if you want to hire someone at Qdabra to help you do it.

Hi Richard,
Just set the default values to pull from the previous row. This will require double clicking the nodes and setting the default values for each. You could simplify by writing code, but you can do this without code if you are willing to work up some semi-complex xpaths. Search this forum for "previous-sibling" - people have ...

Hi Rathna,
Are you using Forms Services to render the forms in the browser? The browser has performance limitations around displaying lots of data and that could explain the freeze. Another issue is if you are calling Web Services on another machine (double hop scenario) and you aren't authenticating correctly between the SharePoint server ...

Typically, Outlook recognizes when an XML form is sent via InfoPath and tags it appropriately. You can set up a rule to move those forms to a separate InfoPath forms folder in ...

Hi Kalyan and welcome,
You want a scenario? Or, instructions for how to do it? Programmatically adding a row to a table will require code, or you can use Qdabra's free qRules tool to do it.
Adding a repeating table can be done with an optional section that includes the repeating table which is already defined in your data source. Create a ...

Hi Goober,
Why not ask the people on the site that posted the tutorial? We don't debug other people's stuff.
By the way, the MVP that posted that article does post here. You can search for her name and maybe email her separately.

Hi HttpPointCom,
Have you tried filtering the list? In IP2007 you can get the username without code (there's a username function). Just set a field in your form to that function and then use that field to filter the list returned from ShP. You might have to prepend the "DEV\" stuff to make the equivalence test work.
IP comes ...
