I have attached the form. You can see in the bottom debug section 8 fields. These fields will capture the data from the two drop down lists in the main portion of the form. In the first two I have set the default value as indicated and when I select the items in the drop down those field do not change to reflect the correct value.

Yes, you are correct in setting the default value on the non repeating field.
How is it not working? (can you describe further?) Or perhaps attach your form.
Thanks.

It makes quite a bit of sense but doesn't seem to work unless I am doing something wrong. I am setting the default value in the non-repeating field where I want to capture the data from the repeating field.

Hi Patrick and Others
Need your help regarding one technical challenge that i am facing with Infopath 2010 and re-usable workflow of SPD 2010. i.e., Re-usable workflow that was developed for content type of InfoPath form is not available in different server after deploying both workflow and Form. Don't know i am asking my query in right ...

In MOSS 2007 you'll likely have to admin deploy each form in Central Admin, then add the content types to your form library. That way your form library can have more than one form associated with it.
You'll have to go through the publishing process; there should be plenty of tutorials out there on this. Copying the forms to a ...

If your data is coming from a SQL database or from a SharePoint list you might be better of filtering via the web services (QueryDB, QuerySharePoint) instead. This will filter on the server and bring back only the rows that match your filter(s).
Otherwise, if it's ok to bring in ALL data in the secondary data source, then yes, you can ...

Hi-
I'm not sure whether qRules is needed. A default value would probably work.
For my:myFields/my:dropdown1, the default value is my:myFields/my:containergroup/my:repeatinggroup[1]/my:dropdown
For my:myFields/my:dropdown2, the default value is my:myFields/my:containergroup/my:repeatinggroup[2]/my:dropdown
Etc.
Does that make sense?

Ok, guys I am stumped here. I have been reviewing all the posts about copying repeating table data to repeating sections and repeating tables and have tried following some of the solutions but am stymied. My Form has a repeating table with a drop down list. In that list are 4 items. So there could be up to 4 table rows.
What I need to do ...

No - there is no way that qRules, which is executed from within the XSNs logic, can know that an XML has been deleted. You'd want to use some kind of custom workflow for this.
