Ok. Why would you need to save the form as source files for this? This is just a warning message. Is it blocking you from publishing your form?
-
Feel free to attach a copy of your form to a reply under the Options tab & I can take a look at the formula.

What are you trying to do? Just get the source files from the .xsn? Can you open it in design mode (right click the .xsn & select Design)? If so, just use the Publish > Export source files option.

I'm just confused, that's all. :) I don't get any prompts at all when I open the template or the document. I go to the properties and can fill out the Project Title & Project Number, and everything seems to work as intended.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I was wondering about seeing one of the existing Word docs created from the template, as you'd said: I can't seem to edit the existing Word documents to simply update the SharePoint link

You don't have to let your users edit all the info in the form - just make some fields read only or use calculated values.

Yikes. This sounds awful, and I'm afraid I have almost no experience with DIPs. Can you attach a sample Word doc that has the issue? Under Options in a reply - or if you have concerns about posting confidential info, just email me via the forum & I'll reply & you can email it to me. :)

What is the full XPath to the Description field? Right click it in the fields taskpane and select "Copy XPath".

Here's a sample with the general concept - If you look under the Defaults on the data tab, you'll see a number of instances of the repeating group are included by default. There is a form load rule that sets a helper field, which then sets values in the main DS from the secondary DS. Save the sample locally, right click and select Design ...
