Browser forms will not work with infopath2003. If you want to work with Browser enabled forms, then use Infopath2007 instead of infopath2003.

Hi,
You can use text box length as nvarchar256 in the db. and make text box length as 256 limit in the infopath form.
Double click on the text box.
Switch to "Display" tab.
Select "Limit Text box to:" check box.
Enter 256 in the text box field.
Click on ok.

"Microsoft.Office.Interop.InfoPath" is a infopath2003 assembly. and "Microsoft.Office.InfoPath" is a infopath2007 assembly.

If you are working on the browser enabled forms, then this code will not work.
