InfoPath uses XPath, because it is XML based. Which of the two lists has all the items? Stock? So you only want to see things in your dropdown from Stock that are not in Reserved Material?

Actually, show / hide is how we usually handle something like this, where we have a repeating section bound to a different data source inside the main ds. Attach your form with this attempt under the options tab & I'll take a look.

Yes. Please attach your file under the Options tab in a reply & I can help you.

Submit may be disabled due to field types or if this is a browser form. Change the compatibility to Filler, and walk through the connection again. https://support.office.com/en-us/article/introduction-to-submitting-form-data-29b2e228-568d-4d97-bebb-8a92fde59c98#bm2 has info on data types.

You can't use a field for the picture on a button. I tried setting up a repro with a list on my Office 365 site, but the picture isn't displayed at all in my form in preview in the secondary data connection. Does yours display in preview, or do you have to publish and view in the browser?

I used repeating tables in the sample so the sample form wouldn't need any data connections. If your question has to do with controls allowed in List forms - no, you can't add main data source repeating tables ...

Oh - I used repeating tables so you'd have a sample that didn't have a data connection. You can do the exact same type of thing with your two SharePoint lists. If you need help setting up the filter for your dropdown, feel free to attach a copy of your form under the Options tab in a reply. Sounds like you are probably using a SharePoint ...

So - does list 1 have all the items you need? If so, something like the attached sample should work (save the file locally, right click & select design to open in design mode, preview to try out). Basically, I used the Filter Data button when selecting the items, changed the filter of field2 = field3 to an expression and used the not() ...

You may need to try to repair Office / InfoPath. You did install the tools for applications as mentioned in the screenshot?
