The Web Service needs to use document/literal style encoding. InfoPath can consume only document/literal style Web services.

Hi Moggy,
Could you add a rule to your form that sets a value based on calculating the integer for the lower bound Julian date and use that in your Query? Default SQL query in InfoPath doesn't give you the ability to filter server side so you may need to create a Web Service to take the parameter and run a stored procedure to return ...

Hi Michael,
We have done this in the past by querying the SharePoint list and filtering it based on a unique value (for example, a Title). In your case, with browser forms, this doesn't work so well. Another technique is described by Clayton Cobb on his website: http://claytoncobb.wordpress.com/2009/06/15/auto-numbering-infopath-forms/. There ...

Hi Karsten,
First question: why are you signing the form? Is Full Trust required? Full Trust is not a best practice and there are only a small percentage of forms that truly need to be full trust. Domain Trust should be sufficient in 95% of cases. If you can remove Full Trust, that will save you a step.

Hi ThiaraV-123 and welcome,
Funny you should ask that - we have a new version of qRules 2.0 coming out in a few weeks that lets you do repeating sections. If you would like a free copy, you can help us beta test the feature. Send e-mail to Support at Qdabra dot come to be placed on the qRules 2.0 beta tester list (still a few spots open). We ...

Unfortunately, this doesn't work. You can copy the HTML of the ASPX page into InfoPath Designer and use it as a baseline to design your form, but there are many controls that aren't supported.

Hi Karen,
It's a SharePoint limitation. It's the main reason we developed our DBXL Web Service (Qdabra.com -> Products -> DBXL) 5 years ago and one of the reasons it is so popular. SharePoint schema is flat. You can't map variable node repeating groups to a SharePoint list/library because SharePoint lists/libraries are limited ...

Hi Chris,
I don't quite understand. If you are sending the InfoPath form in Outlook and you have the rich client, you can edit the XML in the Outlook view and use conditional formatting to hide or show the data. You don't need to pull data from a different view. The data can just be in a separate field in your main data source. Use rules ...

Master-detail only works with the main data source.
