I'm attaching a sample. Save the file locally, right click and select design, then preview. Be sure you enter a capital "K" in one of them then click the button (XPath is case sensitive!). When you create a condition for your rule, you can use the select dropdown (screenshot in the form) to select "any occurrence of" the ...

I'd guess you are hitting a character limit. Your promoted property will be a text column (not multiline) - so only 255 chars. You are getting truncated data because of that.

Can I take a look at your form? You can attach it to a reply, under the Options tab.

You add a filter to the data source for the multiselect - again, it will be slightly complicated, because the Class field stores the ID of its lookup - effectively, you need to filter for the items that don't equal the value you don't want if the Class display starts with CADLP. However, as I've mentioned - this can get kinda icky ...

You can't disable it, but you could add a filter. If the values in your multi-select are hard coded (i.e., not a lookup like your Class drop down) - there probably won't be a way to do this. So, you might want to put those values in their own list, then change the column type to a lookup so you can filter out "no scheduling security ...

Here's your form with some fields at the bottom that I hope will help troubleshoot. I added the same field 3 x - once highlighted if blank, once if not present, and a text box to show the actual value. Preview and see if either of the two dropdowns I added are highlighted before or after you toggle the field value.

So, when you try the form and select something w/ reporting 100, the red asterisk doesn't show up? I can't preview the form to test it (because I don't have access to your SharePoint site) - but the validation rule looks right to me. You could test with an action rule with the same condition - Add an action rule that does something ...

Surprise, it isn't! :) The only work around I know is to create multiple copies of the table with the columns I want, in sections, and show/hide the section. Which is kinda clunky.

You are not a bother at all. So - the current() function is contextual. With the validation rule, it is applying to the field itself. That means you need to go up the tree one step to get the my:Class node. starts-with(xdXDocument:GetDOM("ClassInfoForEnrollementForm")/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/d:SharePointListItem_RW/d:Class[../d:ID = ...
