I have done this with the Qdabra web services.
To get the return value it must be setup as a receive connection and submit via code.
Hope that helps.

This is a problem when trying to share a document library.
I think there may be a way to fix this but have not had to do it.
Typically if you have a bunch of similar forms you should just have one super form then you would not have this issue.

You should be able to test.
Create a simple form with an attachment control and create a new document and save it.
Record its size
Take an attachment file. Word file or something.
Record its size.
Attach the file to the document and save
Record its size.
Do the math. :)

There is not really anything in InfoPath out of the box to help with reporting and analysis. It collects the data but you need something else to do what you describe.
Sharepoint could maybe do it, depending on if you have repeating data in your form.
Typically SQL is the best for storing and manipulating the data, especially this volume.
Then ...

Yes that is possible.
There are posts out there which detail how to redirect a browser form to another one.

Have you tried reversin the order submit to SharePoint then Email? Just curious if it would do the same.
I have not experienced this before, it should work as you have designed. Wait, There is also a place in the close action where you uncheck the box to prompt for save, that maybe overrides the form options. Check that out I ...

Hi Marianne.
I have been to Jo-burg twice, wish I lived there.
I think the issue is probably how you are updating the field. If you set the value from outside of the repeating table it will set the same value for all records.
Best thing is to always create a data dump view.
Drag all fields onto it. Both Query and Data.
Then add ...

The receive and submit is built into InfoPath. If you setup a receive or submit connection it will handle it appropriately. These would each be a seperate datasource usually.
Workflow is very easy to build into your form as long as you track the form state and the user. I use an active directory web service to ID each user and say their manager, ...

The data could be tables in SQL.
It would be interesting to see the performance difference between SP and SQL. Unfortunately without web services the whole list must be loaded as a secondary data connection into the form.
With the Enumeration Service. The table would be queried dynamically by the parameters in the drop downs the user ...

Hey Devin.
Create a field which defaults to concat(http://server/dl/, title) for each record
Use a data source for the control and use that field.
