Hi Ianita,
Thanks for mentioning this. I haven't heard of this before. The People Selector is an ActiveX control. So there could be some issue with that which is causing InfoPath to behave like that. You could also try creating an Open Rule (Form Options->General->Open Rules) to query the data connection to populate the dropdown and see ...

Hi Dev Ann

Hi Carlos,
Thanks for the detailed question. Sorry for the delay in responding.
You can use xdExpression to call out to code that validates via a rules condition section and use actions to Submit and Close the form if that succeeds. That would be one way to use a custom rule on a button with code to validate, submit and close the form.

Talked with support. We don't know of a standalone tool for encrypting the connections strings and we don't recommend putting it in plain text because password is exposed. However, plain text may a simple workaround or now. Of course, the other option would be to re-install.

Qdabra sells a Web service (DBXL) that includes support for data-driven notifications so that you can mark forms overdue if they are beyond a certain date, but the triggers are based on when the form's assignment or workflow ...

Hi Binay,
Sorry I misunderstood your scenario. We haven't done much work embedding InfoPath in a web-page. Sorry I cannot help you further.

You can use UDC files in the rich client. UDC files normally have to be stored on SharePoint site, but I believe that you can work around that limitation. Or, if you have SharePoint, just convert the data connections to UDC files. The UDC file format is XML and you could use that schema to build an InfoPath form which you submit to the library ...

Hi Binay,
Is it read-only because you are debugging it on the server and using localhost? Debugging on the server may result in a more restrictive security policy.
Best way to open a rich client form is described in Shiraz's blog:
var strTemplateLocation_New = "http://sitename/folder/template.xsn";
