In a sense.
It would be a type of workflow to process the form, possibly create the location for it, update the permisions, and then move the form there.
How will the users keep track of the forms and the specific location they end up?
Seams like this would be an issue trying to find your form.
It may be easier if each user had a personal DL ...

Have you looked at using a web service instead?
This is best practice rather than hardcoding each InfoPath form with code.
Qdabra has some installable ones to get you going immediatly or for reference.

Hey Chris.
This is difficult since you are really talking about a Sharepoint interface, this list of Projects.
You could use InfoPath, which they would open instead of the SP list and then you could filter and link these two items, projects and related quotes.
Or you could put groupings or a filter on the Quote Document Library so that you ...

Bt default is you just access the fields, from outside of the repeating section you will just get the first record. you have to specify with a filter or current() function to get subsequent records.

Hey Darwin.
Welcome to Infopath.
I would create a new form and do soem playing and testing to gain familiarity before updating your production form.
It is a database type form? It has a query fields and data fields in the main data source?
If so I would make sure there are not multiple views and somehow it is opening with a blank ...

And now you tell me it is a browser based form, which further complicates things.
With a SQL solution you can ...

Yes this will work too, as long as you do not have too many iterations. The downside is then the forms are all scattered about.
To answer your question.
You cannot change the path of the data connection, it is static, however you just create a data connection for each location, library, you need and then use conditional rules to pick the ...

Nope I do not beleive so.
If you use SQL you can get these granular permisions but it is a whole different architecture, adding reporting and other features.

I think this is the "double hop" issue where IIS cannot pass the credentials to the SQL server.
Either use a set user for the cross server or try to get them together.
Search on double hop and you should find some more info.

Hey Phil.
DBXL installs itself and configures itself.
It requires IIS and SQL. So if you have a server with this it should be a simple install.
Then use the tutorials in the download area to get started.
Also good to email the guys at Qdabra to give you a demo of some of the capabilities and how it could meet your solution requirements ...
