Yeah, you need to workaround this in InfoPath by creating a hidden field. InfoPath is promoting it a certain way despite what you have for showing the field in the form. I found this article:
http://www.eggheadcafe.com/software/aspnet/32876397/sharepoint-timestamp-issu.aspx
And if you go to the bottom post you will see your problem ...

How have you formatted that date filed in InfoPath? I assume that the field is promoted from the form to SharePoint and your workflow email uses that field in the email, is that right?
Is the field being promoted to SharePoint the way you want it? But then not working right in the SharePoint generated email?

Oddly for me the preview in InfoPath does not work correctly on your form.
You might want to start over and see if this is a corrupted list?

I just created my own simple SharePoint list in ShP 2010 and then edited in InfoPath (which is what I assume you were doing). The tab order for all fields was 0. I could move fields around and the tab order did not get messed up. Perhaps change all yours back to 0 and let InfoPath manage it??

Hi Eric,
Looks like that form is created off a SharePoint list, right? The schema is locked. I tried to change the tab order myself in the form and it doesn't work as I would expect. One of the fields was -1 for tab order. I tried to order them all as they should and it wouldn't work.

Hi,
Did you try to re-link the documents in SharePoint? I think that might fix the issue.

Code is typically what you need to work with repeating data in the way you described.
We have actaully created a tool called qRules that lets you leverage code we have written already to work with repeating tables and delete/insert. You don't actually need to know code to use qRules, you ...

Hi,
I think that our qRules tool can help you out here. There is a command called "ChangeSubmitUrl" (read this: http://www.infopathdev.com/files/folders/qrules/entry52999.aspx) that might do the trick for you.
qRules is $199 and available here: http://www.qdabra.com/en/products/qRules.aspx

How big is the datasource behind the dropdowns?
If you are querying a lot of data in that dropdown it can slow your form down.
We reccommend using a web service and making sure that you are parmeterizing the data server side as much as possible for large lists. InfoPath has no built in way of filtering the data connection except in the ...

Hi,
In the properties dialog box for the control (text field, dropdown, etc) there is an Advanced tab. In that tab you can control the tab order
