That code seems ok, but can you guarantee that the XPath "..//my:tempFarbe[../my:ddArtikelnummer = ../../../my:Artikelnummer]", will always find a matching node(i.e., that there will always be a child ddArtikelnummer that matches the grandparent Artikelnummer)? If not, that error is going to occur.
Does the stack trace that ...

Hello,
You may not be able to do this without setting your form to full trust, and even then it may not be possible. Typically in InfoPath one would call a webservice by using a Data Connection. Is there a reason you do not want to do that?

It appears that you are using the debugger here. Could you tell us on which line of code the error is occurring?
-
Could you show us the line of code that is generating the error, and perhaps a bit more of the code above and below it?

Please try changing line 25 to
XDocument.View.SelectText(objXMLNode)

In all likelihood the error you're getting is the result of invalid XPath in line 24. In an earlier post you had a node name my:SmartKey, and in this post you have my:SmartKeyValue. Which one is it? Then create a text box in your form that is bound to the same field as the dropdown box (go ...

It looks like you want to be using code more like this:
Dim Node as XPathNavigator
Dim sVar as String
Node = MainDataSource.CreateNavigator().SelectSingleNode("/my:mesChamps/my:CODE_RISQUE")
sVar=Node.Value

Supposing you had a field in your form with the path my:myFields/my:startTime, where the user could fill in the meeting's starting time, the following would do the trick, as long as the value entered was valid:
Dim startTimeNode As XPathNavigator
