I should add - if you are using Office 365, FormsViewer has this built in. qRules can also do this.
-
Unfortunately - you can only do this with code, and only filler code. In general, tabbing will take the user to the next field (although if the field is hidden and then conditional formatting displays it in the browser, I've seen tabbing skip over it).
-
Oh how odd! Can you put the execution history on the form (from the qRules data source) and the command node and try your command? See if there are any clues in the errors or result node? Also, maybe try moving the href attribute between two others (just to see if that makes a difference).

I've seen in past people using SharePoint workflow for this sort of thing - removing permissions in the library after an item has been submitted. Perhaps that would work here?

A list form usually has a refresh fields button under the data tab in the ribbon. If I recall correctly, you will also get prompted to update the schema if you open the form in design mode from the list (in the ribbon).
-
Is this a list form or a library form?
-
You can probably do this with CAML and the lists web service - there are some good threads on this site on how to do this. Here's one: http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/t/26246.aspx

I would just use rules for this. It will be boring, because you are going to have to add the same rules to every field to go set the other field values. In theory, you could use default values, but I'm guessing you also want users to be able to change these values, or you wouldn't be using dropdown controls, you'd just display the data ...

Deselect the option outlined. :)

Well, the forum is running on pretty old software, so it can be picky. I'm guessing since this is a list form, that's why your options are different. What's under the Filler category? You may just want to hide the ribbon completely and add buttons to your form for submit / close / etc....
