It is posible to change the code type in your form, but it would require removing any code you already have. Are you already using JavaScript in the form?

The easiest way to do this is:
Save the template as its source files
Open the schema (XSD) file in a text editor
Find the line that refers to your repeating field and change the maxOccurs value from "unbounded" to the number you want
Save the schema
Right-click manifest.xsf and select Design
Re-save the ...

Thanks for sharing this. It looks to me like your code is selecting groups of nodes and assigning the groups to a variable, and then not actually using the contents of the variable except to look at the number of items in the set. I think the code would be just a bit more efficient as follows (note the bold parts that show ...

_XDocument3 is an IP2003 SP1 construct and this should work with the 2003 OM. Are you trying to run this project from InfoPath or from Visual Studio? If you're running it from Visual Studio, do you have Visual Studio tools for Office installed?

Hello again,
I'm afraid it really isn't as simple as that, in C# or in VB. I will try to think of a way to determine the number of completed nodes vs. the number of nodes in the form and will get back to you soon.

If you show us the C# code you have, somebody here would be happy to give you the VB equivalent.

I think this would be a bit tidier:
string url = thisXDocument.Solution.URI;
string[] parts = url.Split(new char[] { '/' }, StringSplitOptions.RemoveEmptyEntries);
string listName= null;
if (parts.Length >= 3)
{
listName = parts[2];
}

I believe you could resolve this by setting up a connection to GetListItems to query only the relevant data, but it's a bit tricky from the looks of it.
Perhaps this blog post would help:

Don't worry about it. This InfoPath stuff can be tough to get used to but I can say from experience that it all starts to come together sooner or later. I'm glad I was able to help.
A Merry Christmas to you too!
