So - I'm a little confused as to what your issue is, but so far the things I've seen cause issues w/ sending email with InfoPath 2013 & Office 2016 are: 1. latest patches not installed (specifically the KB mentioned earlier in this thread), 2. bitwise mismatch (one is 32-bit, the other 64-bit) and just this week, 3. install type (ISO ...

How strange. I read your post yesterday & had no ideas - I've never seen this before (and since you weren't able to repro, it seemed specific to something in your template!) Glad you found a way to get things working. :-)

Oh - so the rule is from a workflow? You may need to walk through the publish wizard and when you reach the promoted properties screen, change the promoted View_Change field to allow it to be edited in library. :)

To troubleshoot, I'd probably put the query fields on the form temporarily, and add a button to execute the query - see what happens?

Can you attach your form or a screenshot under the options tab in a reply?
-
Can you attach a copy of your XSN so we can see the logic you have in place?

Glad you got it working! One thing that I found hard to remember when I started with InfoPath was where rules go - you want your rules on the field that will be changing. Action rules fire when a field changes, so if you want to set fieldB when fieldA has a certain value, the rule goes on fieldA. :-)

In the past, I've seen people use SharePoint designer workflow for this - removing permissions on submit and adding back permissions only for those who should be able to see a given form - you'd need to promote a field w/ the user's name, so you had the info available for your workflow.

Nope - Under File > Form Options, find promoted properties. Add your new column. Republish & it will be in your library. You may or may not need to add it to the view - can't remember if it is added to the default view or not. :-)
