Hi DaRock_SayZ and welcome,
It's possible it has something to do with the HTML that is generated when the form is emailed. Try creating another view with just a link to the form in it. I believe we have a blog about this on our site somewhere. On the submit button add a rule to switch to the view before submitting the form via email and in ...

Hi Shiraz and welcome,
This is easy. Just add two data connections - one sends email and the other submits to your DB. Next, add a button to your form with two actions - one sends email and the other submits. You can also specify that the form should close.
Have fun,

Hi Sudha and welcome to the forum,
Good news: you are lucky that I used to be a computational linguist (Kaoru too).
Bad news: this is not an InfoPath related question and this forum is limited to InfoPath and related technologies.
Assuming you can correctly detect the beginning of a word (not always the case, but usually easy ...

Hi DSWaving,
SharePoint 2007 MOSS I presume? Do you have the right enterprise CALs for IPFS? Are file attachments supported? I know there were limitations around attachments in 2007 but forget if it was picture or files that were problematic.

Ah yes, well that's a limitation of InfoPath and why we don't recommend using the out-of-box DB integration. We do recommend using Web Services and we have developed an insanely cheap and cost-effective Web service called DBXL to meet all of your needs. Free trial available at Qdabra.com. Find out more here: ...

Hi Skip9195,
If you have code in your form, maybe your code is holding some resource that is preventing InfoPath from closing. Maybe it's the interaction between your code and InfoPath. Sounds like a tough one to debug, but we have never seen this with InfoPath and we provide a lot of add-ins to people. I'd try attaching a debugger to the ...

Hi Gally,
Since this is such a common request (and since we have to sell something to pay for this free forum which costs us money), we developed qRules 2.1 which allows you to copy values from a SharePoint list into your form. If you want to pay for an hour of code support, we could look into it. If not, hopefully, someone else will review your ...

Hi Stas,
If you are using InfoPath 2007, you can create a rule with an action to launch a new form and point it at the URL for your previous form. To make this data driven, you either need to hack the XSF or write code. The other option is to just remove the Processing Instruction from the XML so that InfoPath thinks its a new ...

Hey Stas and welcome!
This is a very common request. We call it "cascading dropdowns". This forum probably has at least 10 examples of those. Go to the blogs and look at Greg's blogs. I know he has at least 2 examples. Search for "cascading" and see what you find.
Happy trails!

Hi Dan and welcome back!
Can you attach your XSN or a sample that shows the error? My hunch is that the "." in your xpath won't work because you are in a repeating structure, but I need to look at your form to ascertain.
