What you want to do is easy enough. You'll just need to use a loop. I or someone else here can show you how do to that, but before that, could you describe your data source with a bit more detail? i.e., could you give the full paths from the top node down to your my:Prefix, my:FirstName, my:LastName and my:UnitCode nodes?

Thank you for the very kind words. I'm glad I was able to help you on your way and I'll be happy to help you again in the future.

If you want to use the dropdown selection as a starting value for the text box's contents, you would probably want to have the text box bound to its own field (and not the dropdown box's field), and set the text box's default value (Data tab in the properties dialog) to be the field to which the dropdown box is bound.

No need to use a rule. If you just want to show the value of the dropdown box in the text box, just bind the text box to the same field as the dropdown box (you can do this by right-clicking a text box and selecting "Change Binding..." or by dragging the field onto your form.

As the comments directly above it suggest, the "ResultRow_19" part of this line will be different in every form. Please look at the properties of the repeating table to which you are copying the data and find the appropriate value for your form:
XDocument.View.ExecuteAction("xCollection::insert", ...

Googling on the "Whitespace is not allowed at this location" error showed that it was occurring when people had an ampersand by itself in XML. I imagine an unpleasant error also would have happened if any of your DB fields had contained left angle brackets <. In general it is not a good idea to create XML using string ...

Igor, there is no way to do what you described using rules, though it is easy enough if you use code.
Please let me know if you would like to go that route, and what type of code (JScript, C#, VB) you would like to use.

Hiya Ben,
I've always held that ExecuteAction is a better way to insert new items into repeating groups, as it does not require cloning a node (a node can't be cloned if there isn't one there to begin with), and takes the guesswork out of putting the node together manually.
The main problem with your code is that you seem to be ...

I see. It looks like this is happening when you have a DB field with an ampersand in it. I'm working on an improved version of this code that won't have that problem and will put it up here in a day or so.

Hello again.
Sorry the code isn't working so well for you. Could you paste here some of the code before and after line 99 and specifically indicate which line is 99?
Thanks.
