• Re: Accessing controls in C#

I don't think using Console.WriteLine() and Console.ReadLine() is going to do much. There is no console in an InfoPath form.

If you post the code you're trying to use, we might be able to figure out what's going wrong.

  • Re: Accessing controls in C#

In InfoPath we don't access a form's controls directly, but by accessing the XML document represented by the main data source. An InfoPath form is just a visual representation of an XML document. So if I had a textbox bound to a field with the path myFields/field1, I could change its value like this: XPathNavigator ...

  • Re: Populate a Rich TextBox from Filtered data

Sure, here you go. Please extract the .zip to somewhere on your computer and open the XSN in design mode. Press Alt+Shift+F12 to open up VSTA. It may give you an error about not being able to locate the code project. Please direct it to where you extracted the .vbproj file. Then if you start debugging (F5) the form will ...

  • Re: Populate a Rich TextBox from Filtered data

Ok, it sounds like your requirements might call for copying the data from your secondary data source to the main data source, and then showing that data in a repeating section, where it can be modified by the form user. Here are the steps you could take to accomplish this: Create a repeating group in your data source with a ...

  • Re: Querying secondary data connection

As a user in another thread has asked about a similar question but in Visual Basic, I have worked up a VB version of this solution. The underlined parts will likely need modification to be used with a specific solution. Here is the code: Public Sub CTRL11_5_Clicked(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As ...

A repeating section must be bound to a repeating group or field in the data source. This is indicated in a data source tree by an icon (either a folder icon or a piece of paper icon) with a blue rectangle and a white arrow pointing downwards. Try expanding the nodes in the secondary data source and looking for an icon like this (it ...

  • Re: Run a scipt against a field in a repeating table

//my:FirstName, //my:LastName, etc. are absolute paths that resolve to the first node in the entire data source with that name. Please try replacing firstname = oItem.selectSingleNode("//my:FirstName").text lastname = ...

  • Re: Programmatically read all nodes in List Box

Hello again, I'm not entirely clear on what you're trying to do. If you're just trying to access a bunch of values in code, then getting at them in a secondary data source should not be all that more complicated than accessing it in the main data source; really just the code you have up there with a few lines changed and a ...

  • Re: Populate a Rich TextBox from Filtered data

It sounds like what you want to do might be better suited for a repeating table or repeating section, rather than a rich text box. These controls can easily have rows removed from them more cleanly than a text control can. Programming in InfoPath can be confusing at first, but it is really little more than XML manipulation, ...
