Will there be any time when the repeating sections have different values? If not, I would imagine you could have just the one repeating group and show it in every view.
-
Are you copying the values from the repeating section to non-repeating nodes before submitting, or is the Submit connection hooked up directly to the repeating table? If you would paste your code here I could probably show you what's going wrong.
Just as a side note, while this type of solution may work for a small project, if you plan ...

Please try eventObj.Site.SelectSingleNode("my:Multiple_Printer_Name").text
You may need to adjust the relative path depending where eventObj.Site.SelectSingleNode is positioned relative to my:Multiple_Printer_Name in the DOM, but if my:Multiple_Printer_Name is directly below the repeating node it should be ok.
This ...

It's probably simpler to just go with the original idea you had and skip the arrays, though I do suggest you do some searching around to learn more about web services.
I have a web service that takes two strings as parameters. These are hooked up in the submit data connection to the my:value1 and my:value2 nodes in my form. My ...

That's because it's VBScript code but you're using Visual Basic. With Visual Basic in InfoPath 2007 you can do this:
Dim nodeToCopy As XPathNavigator = MainDataSource.CreateNavigator().SelectSingleNode("/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/d:PatchRequest/@DevName", NamespaceManager)
If Not ...

What kind of webservice are you using? Is it one you made or one you obtained from somewhere? What are the input datatypes for the web method you are calling? If it accepts a repeating (array/list) type, you can probably submit everything with just rules. Otherwise, code may be the way to go. If that's the case, ...

Yes, as I said in my previous post, remove both sums as they are currently doing nothing, and enclose both halves of the formula (before and after div) with another set of parentheses, like:
((dfs:dataFields/d:tblFHeader/d:tblSec1/@fld11S) + la dee da + (dfs:dataFields/d:tblFHeader/d:tblSec9/@fld97S)) div ...

It does work in InfoPath 2007. Could you show us the code you're trying to use and the error you're getting?
-
On second glance, it looks like those sum functions aren't really doing anything. You should remove both sums text and enclose the first half of the formula in a pair of parentheses. It looks like you are getting that error because in this line:
sdfs:dataFields/d:tblFHeader/d:tblSec7/@fld71U) + ...
