Hi, thank you for your prompt response! since the form created for the company's internal use only, so it should have to be 10 digit numbers that I did not even think about adding a country code or something, etc...:-)
Below is a calculate value that I have been searching for from google but I am not sure if it works or do I have ...

Hi, Thank you very much for your help! Sorry I was not sure do I need to set any rule/condition/formatting for this settings of the account ID and the name fields?

Thanks for responding Hilary , looks like when you double click on a item in a list it uses "displayifs.aspx" rather than "editifs.aspx" which is used when you click edit.
Would great if I can overwrite "displayifs.aspx" with "editifs.aspx" or somehow change the list so the standard action is edit rather ...

Hi Hilary , seeing this issue on Windows 10 running Microsoft Edge as the browser. The SharePoint is running as part of our organisations Office 365 subscription. Sadly I don't have any options to test with other browsers.
I have seen further comments else where in the forum about updating CSS files , see ...

Okay. thank you for your support Hillary .
I have seen the solution at the link you provided for CRLF. But the problem is that it has to GET data/file from the server. Within our organization, the SharePoint is fairly restrictive and as such I cannot guarantee that the read/get from server always happens. So that solution, while elegant, ...

So - this link will help you with your line break: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/archive/blogs/infopath/inserting-line-breaks-into-text-using-rules
As to a loop - no such luck without code. :)

Wow.. that's beautiful. That's a neat trick. I can implement that. :-)
I have quite a few fields. So is there anyway to add CRLF to the text so that it will appear as:
field1 can't be blank
field2 can't be blank
field3 can't be blank
And then (I am being greedy), I am assuming that doing a If-else, do-while loop kind ...

If you can use the user profile service, you can set the account id and the display name fields in the people picker to set it. :)

Hmmmm. I mean.... maybe? Perhaps you could use translate to remove everything that isn't a number, then split it up and add in the parenthesis and the dash... but then, who knows if someone is going to add a country code or something. That might get a little tricky. Maybe have a field (number only) for country code (if needed) and another ...

Unfortunately, without using code, you'll need to use specific rules for this on your submit rules. So, you could have in your main data source an "error" field, and if a field is missing data, add to the error message field and display that on your form. I'm attaching a simple sample of what I'd do. Save it locally by right ...
