• Re: Currency related question

I don't have a great idea, or a great answer, but I have something that should work. How large are the numbers you're working with? You can use a bunch of rules:Condition: value >= 1000000000 Action: set field: concat('$', floor(value div 1000000000), ',', floor(value mod 1000000000 div 1000000), ',', ...

  • Re: Radio Button Validation Rules Being Ignored

Could you go into a bit more detail about your submit button. Is it configured as an actual "Submit" action, or is it an ordinary button using a series or rules to do the submit?

  • Re: Using the VSTA interface

Generally the parts that start with Public and Private would go between the Public Class and End Class line, but if you're going to be working with code, please at least go through some basic VB tutorials. Using code without understanding it can lead to some bad results.

  • Re: Field Name in Formula is not the Property Field Name

When you create a column in a SharePoint list, it gets an "actual" name that never changes. Columns also have a display name that you can change. What you are seeing here is InfoPath's way of partially concealing the real names by showing the display names in your form, but there are some places (such as when constructing ...

  • Re: Send Email to many users in a repeating table

You could create a separate field to hold all the e-mail addresses and use the double eval trick to populate it. Do you think that might work?

  • Re: Rule limits

I don't know offhand of any documentation mentioning it, but in this blog from the InfoPath team, the blog author acknowledges this limit (in the comments): http://blogs.msdn.com/b/infopath/archive/2006/12/04/xpath-powers-calculating-totals.aspx You can also verify this for yourself, by creating a rule like this on a field: Set (self) ...

  • Re: Displaying Some Fields of a Repeated Table on Another Repeated Table

Hello Ifeatu, I'm sorry for my delay in getting back to you and thank you for uploading all of these images. However, what I really wanted to see is how your data source is laid out (i.e. in the taskpane), like this: Could you provide a screenshot of that?

  • Re: how do I write a formula to round up??

round() will round a value to the nearest number, but you can use ceiling() to always round upwards.

  • Re: Formula

Hello, What I mean is that you would create a non-repeating field outside of the repeating group, and use a formula like that as its default value formula. You would replace Question with the name of the repeating group (you can use the field/group selection dialog for this one), and you would replace "Rating" ...

  • Re: Formula

I think the formula you need to calculate the total is something like this: sum(eval(Question, "my:Rating * my:Weighing"))could you give that a try?
