Hi Sauny,
I think you want Word Smart Documents bound to XML schemas. Too bad Word lost the lawsuit against thast company in Texas and they had to dumbdown the feature, but take a look at Word - you should be able to do what you describe using a Word Smart Doc.
In InfoPath, you can create structured forms. For a legal document (a contract), you ...

Is it going to your Junk Emails folder?
Have you checked the SharePoint logs? Search this site to find a blog post about where to look.
Your question is really a SharePoint Workflow question. We know a lot about that, but this forum is specifically for InfoPath stuff.

Hi CBrown00,
The data source lives in the XSD file. Typically it will be called myschema.xsd. It is bound to the manifest.xsf and there is a dependency. You can save the files as source files (or expand it using WinZip), fix the XSD data source file and then right click the manifest.xsf and choose Design to see if that fixed the problem.

Hi RomualDT
So you have a taxonomy of features and you want to filter the phones based on that. Qdabra's FormsBoard has this feature built-in and it's very simple to use. You just tag the Phone forms and then you can quickly narrow or expand the entire list by clicking checkboxes. However, you don't use FormsBoard and you want to do ...

Hi Metonda and welcome,
Sure you can do that. We call that feature "data templates". Here are your options:
Rely on Internet Explorer's autocomplete
Pro: auto-complete remembers what you typed before and shows it as you start typing. This is field specific, easy-to-use and you may not even have to turn it on
Con: field ...

Hi Gil,
You're right - this is not possible and I must apologize for marketing a feature that I thought was possible, but sadly is not. I have asked our Website admin to update the page so we aren't advertising something that can't be done. It's a limitation of the order in which the rules fire and the fact that you can't have ...

Hi Marzipan,
Why not just add a rule on the repeating group node that conditionally hides based on a child field's value?
-
Hi Justin and welcome!
What you want is a filtered set value. A rule that sets the values for a section based on the checkbox in the section. You can probably do this with simple xpath and set value rules, but that assumes the checkbox is also repeating and part of the same repeating section. If the checkbox is not, you will have to use code, or ...

Hi Almond Paste,
One of my good friends is an Access MVP and we need to have this discussion. Without really understanding Accesss Services, I will go out on a limb here and say that Access and InfoPath are very different forms editors. InfoPath is based on XML. Access is not. InfoPath views are HTML. Access views are not. Because of these ...

Hi Mike W and welcome,
When you say you want "Code" to be recorded in a separate application, I get lost. You don't have to bind Code to a field in your form. You can use a rule on the Item field (put it in a repeating group underneath a non-repeating group inside your parent structure) to set a value for the Code and use filtering ...
