Floating point arithmetic in XPath is computed according to the IEEE 754 standard, which allocates a fixed number of bits for the computation. I don't know a whole lot about floating point arithmetic, but I do know that it is not perfectly precise, and as you have experienced, tiny fractional parts can be lost or gained along the way.

For the first two questions:
You can open the list box's properties and specify the users' names in the Display column of each value and their e-mail address in the Value column. Then just set the To: field in your data connection to be the field to which the listbox is bound.
You can combine plain text with field values by using ...

I assure you I would not kid in a forum such as this.
As I said, there is no way to directly interact with a control from the code. An InfoPath form is a visual representation of an XML document, and you can indirectly interact with controls (get and set values, add and delete rows from repeating sections) by interacting with the form's ...

It's entirely possible (and likely) that removing the code from a form template would remove some of the template's functionality and cause it to not work as expected. I recommend you determine just what the JScript is accomplishing before removing it.
As for adding rows to repeating sections, please check out this quick and simple ...

Please try this modified version of Hilary's form.

I recommend you experiment with all four options. If the box is not large enough to contain all of the text, scrollbars are not going to help when the form is printed out on paper.

So you want the box to stay a constant size, but fit any amount of text that the user might put into it...?
That sounds like a contradiction to me. Am I missing something?

In the Display tab of a rich text box's properties, you can change the Scrolling option to something other than "Expand to show all text," but if this intended to be printed, you run the risk of having text cut off if you don't allow the box to expand.

Open up fieldB's properties, click the fx icon to set its default value, and enter the following formula
number(fieldA >= 5)
using the Insert Field or Group... button to insert fieldA in the right spot in the formula, and you're all set.

Thank you for your contribution, but the following pair of lines will produce exactly the same result:
string strNow = XmlConvert.ToString(DateTime.Now, "yyyy-MM-ddTHH:mm:ss");
objStartDateTimeNode.SetValue(strNow);
The following will also work just fine:
objStartDateTimeNode.SetValue(XmlConvert.ToString(System.DateTime.Now));
