Hi Sivashiva,
If you want to filter the data on the server, and not incur the cost of pulling down all of the values, you will need to pass a parameter to SharePoint to filter the contents before downloading. That will requires either use of SharePoint's FilterOWSSVR.dll or some Web Service that has access to SharePoint (ideally, ...

Hi Lestomos,
Have you considered submitting data using a Receive Data connection? You could write code that gets data from a Submit Data Connection too, but it might be simpler to do the Receive route. Otherwise, what you are doing makes sense. Do you really have a performance issue or is it just a performance paranoia? We do double submit and ...

Hi Daniel,
Sounds like an IIS config issue. We have a guy here who could solve your problem but we'd need $50 for the time. Send me e-mail if you're interested.

Hi Ram321,
You probably don't want to hear this, but designing a form from a database is not a good idea. Use a Web service. There are issues ... believe me. I'm not just trying to sell our DBXL Web service either.
Some limitations:
Can't use with browser-enabled forms when SQL on a different server
Can't use with XML data ...

Hopefully it's (a) and not (b), but (b) ...

Hi Lucas,
If you're using InfoPath Form Services in SharePoint (ala browser-based forms) you specify a From email address. I'm assuming you are using the rich client. Unfortunately, overriding the From is a security issue (in Microsoft's mind) so they don't allow it via the out-of-box data connections. You could write some ...

Hi Lindsey,
Too bad you don't have a link to InfoPathDev.com on your homepage! :) Seriously, SYMWong does a good job but we get a ton of posts from people befuddled by her web site. I think she should have a forum! And, I've told her so, but she is a hermit in New Zealand and likes to keep a low profile.
Glad to see you're in ...

Hi Niranjan,
You could use SharePoint Designer to remove the New button and replace it with a special button that opens a template.xml with default data specific to the Form Library. That might be easiest since it wouldn't require input parameters. Otherwise, I suggest input parameters.
Have you used SharePoint Designer to modify the ...

It needs to post back to generate the signature for the form since that's where the logic resides. The only other way to do it would be to use something like our Electronic Signature XTP which is not a digital signature, but works fine for 80% of the cases out there. Sounds like you already have built your form with Digital Sigs though. Best ...
