Thanks that did the trick

Can you be more specific please. This answer does not make sense. The data connection is going to bring in multiple fields if you are dealing with a list. Want to query on these fields latter for specific drop-downs and there is no way I would want to set multiple default values. Not really understanding how one could implement your answer.

Hi-
Can you describe the failure? (for example, what error message comes up, or what screen it reaches before failing)
The Event Viewer on the server should have a Qdabra log now and perhaps this (or the Application log) have additional information.
I would also recommend checking that the necessary IIS features are installed. I'm ...

This is something I do pretty often.
You'll need to add several rules on your submit button, which set a or some hidden fields. Then on your fields you'll need a formatting rule which knows when a field should or should not have been completed.
Example attached.

Hi rwdial,
Your conditional rule should look similar to this:
At the repeating table, add a conditinal hide rule which hides the section if the ID (select child ID) is not equal to the other ID (select parent ID). This conditional rule should be enough for you to hide the row. Hope this helps.

Even on a machine (Win Server 2008 R2) with IIS 8 & MSSQLExpress 2012 installed the install still fails.
No log except for in the event view. And I guess that is not very helpful.

That was my first step. But i need to apply formatting rule on button click event.

Thank for that! I'll be staying tuned!

Hi John,
Further tests show that there was a bug on the repeating data section which had the formula. Please try recreating another repeating table below and re-enter the formulas for the Finance Use Only section. Hope this fixes the issue.

Can you not create a SharePoint group from this list? Then you could audience target the form library.
The you just need to create a filter on the list view.
1.Form status = approved
2. Assigned Task Person= [me]
Alternatively use a workflow to set permissions on the form itself
