Hi Jimmy,
I'm attaching a couple of things, one is the screen shot you requested and the second is an example that I found while researching that I cannot seem to recreate and I don't understand why.
Here is the screen shot.

just did this. removed IP 2007 and created a brand new form in IP 2010 - the issue is still there.

Hi
I'm working on a case for a laboratory. The customer wants to see a chart as an image from his/her analysis inside the form. The image has to be stored inside the form in a base64 field. The "image" comes from excel which does the calculation based om data in the form. In the excel file there is a chart which i can ...

Personally, I'd remove InfoPath 2007 from my machine and run a repair on Office 2010 then try again with a new blank template.

I know in the end you want a 2007 form, but can you try creating a new IP 2010 form and putting a contact selector on that? You don't have both 2010 and 2007 installed on the same machine, do you?
-
yes I have tried it in both versions. Havent tried it on a different machine yet, as currently I'm only one who has got IP.
No in IP 2010 you dont have to add it as its already there, but when you right click the control and choose Properties; there suppose to be a SharePoint Server tab according to instructions in the above link. However, ...
