I'm not at all confident that I understand your question, but I'm attaching a sample form that may help.
-
Sure, I understood your description. It just isn't something I've ever implemented, thus I don't have an answer for you on how to implement it.
-
I don't know of a way to do that. This blog post may give you some things to try? https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/infopath/2010/06/03/how-to-pass-querystring-data-into-an-infopath-form/

Ask away - here is fine. :)
-
Have you tried: ../preceding-sibling::my:SharePointListItem_RW/my:Parent_x0020_Risk_x0020_ID for the default value?
-
Could I see the actual form, not just a screenshot?
-
Groups don't generally have a value? Is there a field inside group5 you should be comparing to?
-
I've occasionally seen promoted fields get duplicated - so take a look at your library settings and make sure you don't have multiple copies of the field. If you do - you might have the wrong instance in your view. I'd start there.... The next thing I see sometimes is just a normal mix up - the field you think should have a value ...

May I see a copy of your form? You can attach it under the Options tab in a reply.

I have never seen this before! Can you attach your form under the Options tab in a reply?
