Hi,
Have you seen our qRules product that does this?
http://www.qdabra.com/en/products/qRules.aspx
We have a command called "Submit to SharePoint List" that does this for you.
The other way to do this is to write custom code to get this done.

Yes the VSTA tools in IP 2007 are not installed by default in all cases so the workaround is to go back to Add/Remove and have them installed from there. As far as I know you are going to have to get the original install material from your IT department to get this done.

Hi, see the attached sample XSN I created to show you how do this.
First you have to do this using a secondary data source only (2DS) - the data in the drop down needs to be in a secondary data source, it won't work if you add the drop down values manually to the control in InfoPath.

That's pretty slick Chris, thanks for sharing!

Are you really sure you need to move the documents?
SharePoint can literally store millions of documents in a library, the key though is how many documents are returned in any view and espeically the default view.

One of the biggest differences between a List and a Library is that there is no document associated with a list item. The item is stored in the SharePoint DB whereas in a document library you have the actual XML (in the case of InfoPath) that is saved in the library. The client application opens the document and works with the file ...

I think you looked at our qRules product at one point but didn't actually try it out, right?
qRules is going to help you out here but if I understand you correctly I think it might be better to sumbit the repeating rows from InfoPath into their own rows in SharePoint and then make sure you are setting an ID ("foreign key" basically) ...

In my experience attaching very large files in InfoPath is problematic. InfoPath can't compress the file attachment and simply inserts it into the form xml as a base 64 encoded string. Base 64 encoded strings might actually bloat the file size of the attachment so a 20mb file might be larger then 20mb stored in the form.
Also your ...
