The only way I can resolve this is to move the repeating table reference out of the repeating section. But should't it be referencing the repeating section?

Yes, in design mode it works great. But once it's published it doesn't filter.

I have a repeating table inside of a repeating section. The idea is to have a category selector in the section that set's sharepoint query field, queries the data, and copies table over using qrules.

It appears that it is not possible to filter a repeating table in the browser in Infopath 2010. Is this a correct observation?
If so, what is the workaround.

Couple of questions about that Patrick,
If I have it filter and populate a repeating table based on a drop-down list box, do I apply the filter on the repeating table? Isn't it just displaying the data from the secondary data source? How do I copy just the filtered data over?

It's an order sheet for equipment. I have a repeating table inside a repeating section. Each section has a dropdown to filter the table based on gear type (category column in SP list). I'm copying a large list (about 450 items, 4 column table) into an InfoPath browser form using the copytable command in qrules. It takes about 2 minutes to load the form (i copy table on form load).
Should these long load times be expected?
