So I asked you to try this:string r = e.Source.SelectSingleNode("item/field1", NamespaceManager).Value; And you continued to do this: XPathNavigator
xCheck = e.Source.SelectSingleNode("/dfs:myFields/dfs:queryFields/tns:method1/structure/item/field1", NamespaceManager);
string r = ...

Could you show me the code you're using?

[quote user="kalyan@infopath"]
XPathNavigator
xCheck = e.Source.SelectSingleNode("/dfs:myFields/dfs:queryFields/tns:method1/structure/item/field1", NamespaceManager);
string r = xCheck.SelectSingleNode("/dfs:myFields/dfs:queryFields/tns:method1/structure/item/field1", ...

I find that hard to believe. Could you show me what the code looks like when you do that?
-
Why are you using
"/dfs:myFields/dfs:queryFields/tns:method1/structure/item"
When I suggested using
"item/field1"
or
"field1"
Using an absolute path like you are will always yield the first item.

It looks like you asked this question twice, and the duplicate got deleted and I responded to the duplicate. Sorry for the confusion. This is the response I made:

If the button is in the repeating rows, e.Source
should be an XPathNavigator to the repeating node. Once you have that,
you can use XPath ...

I'm afraid I have no idea what you just said. It seemed in your original post that you wanted to get a value from the same row where a button was clicked. Is that the case or not? Could I see your latest attempt at the code?

I already answered your question in this identical thread that you started:
Re: Get the
value of Specific field's value from a specific row in a repeating table
programatically

As I've already said twice, rules fire when their related field has its value changed. That's their purpose and that's what they do. There is no special option for an "is changed" rule because all rules on form fields are "is changed" rules.

Once you have the value stored in the rp variable you are free to manipulate it, perform calculations with it, or store it in a field in your main data source so it can be manipulated within the form: XDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode('my:myFields/my:RemainingPays').text = rp;
