how do I go about setting this up? I want to check a field say Work Order Number, if it matches a pre-existing WO#, then load all the other fields into the current form so the user can update the information. If the WO# doesn't exist, then just leave form empty for user to update the fields. ...

It works up to 15 spaces, Infopath limitation. Hopefully that is enough for what you need. You could get it to do more if using code, but a rules based version works for most cases.
I got it to work using 3 fields. 2 of them can be hidden.

Hi, I have a quite big form of infopath on sharepoint 2010 and it works fine. I save xml of different sections in a datatable and dynamically binds them on page load. recently I modified a section and there was already a repeating table in it.
