So they look broken in design mode? Just as a data point - when I add a people picker on a new blank form, they do not look broken for me. You say the same thing happens on a new blank form? Does this repro on a different machine? What version of InfoPath designer are you using? Is it possible that machine updates have caused the issue? Do you use ...

Is this a browser form or a filler form? If it is a browser form, and if it is not on SharePoint Online, you might want to have the SharePoint admin check the ULS logs for issues. If it is SharePoint Online, you may need to open a ticket with Microsoft to find out what is happening.

I'm not sure that signing individual lines in a repeating table is supported, actually - I don't know that is documented anywhere, but just looking at the schema structure when we add a signature for the repeated group - the signature elements are added outside the group.

That's so odd - that's the message we'd expect to see if you were trying to upload the version you'd been designing, not the published version. So - I'm sure you have made double sure that you are actually browsing to the published file, not the one you were making changes to - but double check that. Then I guess I'd test ...

Happy to help. Here's what's happening - the place where you select the field (AccountID) is what gets all the repeating nodes. Then, any formulas you want to apply to the text (like the concat, to add the ";" or the substring-after) go in the single quotes. Here's a good explanation of double eval: ...

I think you need to move the substring part of the formula: eval(eval(AccountId, 'concat(substring-after(.,"UP\"), ";")'), "..")

Well - no, but if you put them all in the same layout table cell, that should have the same effect. See attached sample - save locally, right click and select design, then preview.

No - it would be nice, right? Instead, use multiple drop down controls, each bound to the source you want, then use conditional formatting to display the one you want to use....

I think the choices are connected to the control, not the field.... but I could be wrong. Is this a SharePoint list form? Or a 'normal' InfoPath form?
