Hi Bill,
You can't easily syndicate InfoPath forms across sites without breaking data connections. The lists and libraries have GUIDs (globally unique IDs) that differ.
qRules v5.2 does enable this scenario with a couple new commands that enable dynamically detecting data connections on load and fixing up the GUIDs.
I'd be happy to demo ...

hi A,
I recommend adding a validation rule that fires if the field is blank. That will show an asterisk and screen tip if they hover over.
Best of luck,

Hi AngieOng,
You can extract the file attachment from the form and map it to a separate document library.
Then, you can create a "mashup" dashboard page that pulls the data from the form library and the document library and shows both.
We have done numerous webinars talking about "dashboards".
To get the file attachment out ...

Hi Tom,
Sorry for the delay. Most of the team is at the Microsoft MVP Summit this week. We appreciate your patience.
In general, I don't know why this would happen unless the actual data type was a text field (as opposed to rich text). That would be one thing to check - i.e. did you bind a rich text control to a plain text field by mistake ...

Hi Jeff,
I replied via email as well.
For your first issue where signatures are not showing up, please check the permissions on the signature images picture library and make sure that everyone has Read access to that.
For the signature issue, this must be two issues:SharePoint PIN list is not restricted to prevent read from others - the steps ...

Hi ***,
I'm guessing that we chatted after you made this post.
At any rate, not sure you can do what you want with the version mismatch, but if you haven't already do check out the webinar I did on 8-29 where we went over all of the techniques.

That's because you are using the same name for the new versions so it is automatically updating.
If you changed your form's name to Name_v2 and published it would not try to upgrade the first. This is known as "side-by-side" versioning and is a good technique for doing what you want.
We have a training module on this as part of ...

If you are using the InfoPath Filler we have an ActiveX control that allows drag and drop of the attachments onto the form directly. Email Support (at) Qdabra <dot> com for details.
Other than that, I don't know of a way to do this.

Well, the link can open the form in a separate window - that's easy and out of box.
You can make the link a button that queries the Library to get the XML into a secondary data source and then you can use one of two techniques to copy the data into your main data source:
Rules - just copy each field
qRules SwapDom - copy all fields ...

Thanks Jeff,
Qdabra also has a product that does everything InfoPathDB does and much much more. It's called DBXL. Here's a link: http://www.qdabra.com/en/products/WebService.aspx
Main benefits are that you don't have to be a developer to deploy and use it and it's extremely inexpensive (free trial).
And, the small proceeds we ...
